My phone call often leads to some kind of ceasing and desisting by the other person.
Somehow, they lose their interest in fighting. I guess the struggle loses some of its meaning to them.
Apparently, it shows the unhappiest and most disgruntled person in the dispute that my client is not out to hurt them.
True, it seldom leads to the people talking right away.
But maybe it reminds them that talking is and will continue to be an option.
It shows them that there are outsiders who are watching and want this conflict to be resolved peacefully.
Whatever the causes, at least in condo conflict, a lowering of conflict intensity is almost always good. Especially if all it takes is a phone call!
